Rady Children’s Physician Management Services (RCPMS) offers exciting opportunities for qualified candidates to join our rapidly growing organization. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Rady Children’s Hospital and Health Center with just over 500 employees. RCPMS supports primary care pediatricians with 32 office locations throughout San Diego and Southern Riverside Counties.

RCPMS seeks motivated, experienced individuals for our open CMA Clinical Trainer at our Kearny Mesa Corporate Office.

Under the supervision of the Training Supervisor and the Nurse Manager, the Clinical Trainer serves as a member of a training team to deliver clinical training to all clinical staff. The Clinical Trainer has dotted line reporting to the Nurse Manager for the supervision of proficiency and performance of technical clinical functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update training materials for EMR training to include, (but not limited to): class objectives, class outline, lesson plans, student materials, assessment tool of skill acquisition.
  • Ensure the training environment is up-to-date, supporting upgrades to clinical workflows: including scenarios to support trainings, developing class outlines, objectives, and training materials.
  • Assess new clinical candidates for hire.
  • Develop, maintain, and update training materials for clinical training.
  • Round at sites to follow-up on new hires; assess competency through observation and interviewing.

Requirements:

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification through AMT, AAMA, or CCBMA or willingness to obtain certification within the first 3 months of hire.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Credentialed Epic Trainer (within 6 months of hire); willingness to pursue Epic certification appropriate to position.(i.e. Training Environment Design Certification).
  • Experience in public speaking and classroom training and in educational delivery to adult learners.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
