Rady Children’s Physician Management Services (RCPMS) offers exciting opportunities for qualified candidates to join our rapidly growing organization. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Rady Children’s Hospital and Health Center with just over 500 employees. RCPMS supports primary care pediatricians with 32 office locations throughout San Diego and Southern Riverside Counties.
RCPMS seeks a friendly and motivated individual for our open Billing Support Specialist position at our Corporate Office. Under the supervision of the Director, Patient Financial Services (PFS), the PFS Billing Support Specialist provides clerical support for both remote and on-site PFS team members. The position will be responsible for handling PHI and will need to ensure records are handled according to HIPAA and security guidelines. This position works in a cooperative team environment and will provide support for the entire department.
Responsibilities:
- Scanning correspondence for access by remote staff
- Printing and mailing claims and other documents as requested by staff
- Documenting actions taken in billing system
- Sorting and distributing incoming faxes
- Sort and mail refund checks
- Cross trained to provide back-up for the Clerical Support Clerk in the mail room when that staff member is out
- Batching and filing
- Mail returns and address updates
Requirements of all Account Analyst Positions:
- High School diploma or equivalent with clerical and/or administrative experience preferred
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Superb organizational skills
- Ability to correctly file both alpha and numeric
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use good judgment and demonstrate discretion in the handling of confidential and or sensitive information
